2023: With Osinbajo-Zulum ticket, APC would win election before 12 noon – Gololo

  A chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Garus Gololo, has advised the party to field Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo, and Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, for an overwhelming victory in the 2023 presidential election. Speaking in an interview in Abuja on Friday, Gololo said Osibanjo has displayed competence, loyalty, hard work and statesmanship to pilot the affairs of the country. Platue state governor, gov Lalong not doing enough to end insecurity

The Plateau State main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said governor Simon Bako Lalong does not need the control of security agencies to curb killings in the State. The party’s spokesman, Emmanuel Go’or in a statement credited to the state Acting Chairman of APC, Enoch Fanmak, said that governor Lalong had done enough to stop killings in the state but for lack of direct control of the security agencies. Speaking at a press conference in Jos on Tuesday, he said, “if the weekly harvest of dead bodies and invaded communities are the marks of Governor Lalong’s best, then he was never ready for governance. “Even now, he is leaning on a tottering fence as Mr Governor is simply enamored by the glamour of his office and unhealthily distracted by chores outside the state in the name of chairmanship of Northern Governors’ Forum.” The opposition party noted that all the governor needed was to be decisive enough to face the blood-sucking monsters that have tar...

IPOB declares September 14 as Stay at Home day

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has ordered another sit-at-home on September 14. IPOB’s Director of State, DOS, ordered the sit-at-home to remember those allegedly killed in Afaraukwu, Abia State in 2018 by Nigerian soldiers. The separatist group said that Nigerian soldiers had in 2018 desecrated the traditional stool of Afaraukwu. A statement by the Head of IPOB’s DOS, Chika Edozien, said the September 14 sit-at-home has been tagged “day of civil disobedience.” Edozien also reiterated IPOB’s commitement towards ensuring the actualization of Biafra. Recall that IPOB had declared sit-at-home every Monday, following the rearrest of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu. However, the group reviewed the order to only when Kanu is expected to appear in court. APC a terrorist organization, PDP is beyond useless – Adeyanju on kidnapping under Buhari

  The All Progressives Congress, APC, has been described as a terrorist organisation. Deji Adeyanju, popular human rights activist, made the remark while comparing APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Adeyanju pointed out that the PDP is beyond useless. He, however, stressed that the former ruling party can be said to be saint when compared to the APC. In a series of tweets, the rights activist lamented the spate of kidnapping under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration. According to the convener of Concerned Nigerian, the country has recorded over 60 abductions in the category of Chibok schoolgirls during Buhari’s government.
